Hello Peeps,

Eventhough I Always enjoy celebrating the good moments in life with others, I also think it is important to remember the not so good moments. Like the anniversary of the death of my ex-collegue and mother of my friend. I make it a point to always send my friend a card that day, just to let her know I’m thinking of her. And also so she knows, her mother isn’t forgotten.

This time I made a quick and simple card with the products from the Eclectic Suite. Using Wisteria Wonder ink I stamped the petals layer of the flowerd from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. Next I stamped the outlines in the Elegant Eggplant colour. The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink. This colour complements all other colours and, as far as I’m concerned, is perfect for leaves, grass or as a fresh accent colour to your project. It is a must have for anyone who enjoys stamping. After stamping, I cut out the images using the coordination dies from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies set. To give it a little something extra I cut out an extra flower outline from some gold metallic paper from my stash. I made a cardbase from some Sahara Sand cardstock and cut a strip onto which I stamped the Thinking Of You sentiment. The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set which unfortunately is no longer available. I cut a banner end to the strip and nested it between the layers of flowers and leaves. I attached everything using Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue en Stampin’ Dimensionals.

These are not the most fun cards to make, just because the memories that they bring back aren’t Always fun, but they are the cards that leave a mark on the recepiants heart. I know  my friend always appreciates it when she knows I sympathise with her and I always will.

See you next time,

Leonie
