Hello Peeps,

It’s been a while since I’ve written. Luckily it is because I’ve been very busy with work. I have been fortunate to have been able to give quite a few workshops recently for multiple interested parties and naturally it takes some time to prepare everything.

At this moment I only have 1 workshop on the books which will be on Saturday December 15th 2018. We will be making 4 different Christmas cards. If you need some more cards or if you want make an extra special card for someone special in your life, sign up quickly.

For the coming year I’ve started to make a plan for when to host the workshops at my house. To that end I placed a pre-order of new goodies which will be available from January 3rd 2019. They are products from the new Spring/Summer catalogue which will go live then. If you are interested in receiving a catalogue, let me know. I will also include a print out of the 2 new Dutch stampsets. More information about the spring/summer catalogue will follow in a few weeks time.

I will also be sharing more information about Sale-a-bration then. It will be held from January 3rd until March 31st 2019. It will definately be worthwile to book me for a workshop during this period. It doesn’t need to be a workshop at my house, I would love to come to yours and show you how to quickly and easily make cute cards or other projects.

That was it for now.

Have a great weekend and I will see you soon,

A taste of the card buffet

Posted on

Hello Peeps,

Card buffet

Isn’t it fun to take part in a workshop? It became apparent to me again during my card buffet last Saturday.  Five ladies took part and had a choice of 10 different cards which I had prepared. There were instruction sheets inclueded so they could work independantly. Of course I was available to them to clarify or demonstrate things when a step was difficult or new to them. Dispite being of different levels of experience, each of the ladies went home proud and content with multiple handmade cards they did themselves. The workshop was without obligations. Everyone could make what they wanted and as many as they wanted within the set 3 hour timelimit. This left plenty of time for a cup of coffee, some snacks and lots of chit chat.

Masked buffet

Next month I will be hosting another card buffet. It will take place on Saturday October 20th from 14.00 to 17.00h at my house. Since the dat is so close to Halloween, it will be a masked buffet… More information will follow as the date nears. Costs will be € 2,- per card again and all will be without obligations. Should you realise after making 1 card that this is not for you, then you just stop. If you are enjoying yourself, you carry on. With another card or perhaps with a second card of the one you already made, if you really like it. You can make as many or few as you like. It’s all while supplies last.

Other workshops

If you wish to host your own workshop, you can call on me too. I have different kinds of projects which are suited for a workshop such as cards, a mini album or a calendar. If you have something specific in mind, I’m always open to suggestions. Together we can pull of something amazing, You arrange for 3-8 guests and I will take care of a fun afternoon or evening. Should you be interested in this, click here for more information about what I can do for you. You can also find more information about the workshops that I have planned here.

See you next time,

Birthday Calender Workshop

Posted on

Hello Peeps,

On Saturday May 19th 2018 I will be hosting another workshop from 13.00 – 17.00h. This time we won’t be making cards, instead it will be a 3D-project. The base is a picture frame and the cheerful Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper. We will transform these into a birthday calender which will be embellished further with the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set and silver accents in the way of thread, sequin trim and doilies. In this workshop you will work with the following techniques stamp layering, generational stamping, heat embossing and fussy cutting. Of course I will be there to guide you and help as needed so you have a beautiful calender to take home at the end of the afternoon.

Cost for the workshop are € 12,50 and they include something to drink and eat. You don’t need to bring any tools or supplies nor do you need any experience stamping or crafting. The package of materials includes a quater pack of the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper pack which is more than you will need for this project. You will have 5 full sheets left to use for some further crafting at home.

I have space for 8 participants and enrolment is open as of now. You can send me an e-mail and I look forward to greeting you at my home in Eindhoven. Unfortunately this workshop is not intended for (fellow)demonstrators.

See you soon,

Springtime Foils workshop

Posted on

Hello Peeps,

Last Sunday was the day of my ‘coffee and a card’-workshop featuring the Springrime Foils cardstock. The participants, though not great in number, they were in their enthousiasm, each made two cards.

First of all the Celebrate card. This is based on a card I came across on Pinterest. In my opinion the leaves-pattern was even better suited to it than the patterns used in the example. By just following the line of the branch with a pair of scissors you can create a natural wave. By adding a piece of Gold Foil Sheet underneath and a die cut of the word celebrate, from the Celebrat You Thinlits Dies, on the top, you’ve basically completed the card. Quick, simple and elegant. Suitable for birthdays, weddings or any kind of anniversary.

However, just this card would be too basic for a workshop, so there was a second card to recreate.

Happy Birthday

This card is also based on something I spotted on Pinterest which was just too pretty to ignore. I did have some tweeks to make it more my own. To start with, the colour combination. The Original was green but I love the Pool Party in combination with the silver. Using the mini inkblending tools, we gave the background an ombre-effect. Hereby we kept the colour more concentrated on the bottom and lighter at the top of the pannel. To darken it up a bit more, we used some Bermudat Bay on the very bottom. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Eclectic Expressions set, from the 2nd Sale-a-bration releas. The ribbon is from the Original Sale-a-bration release. It is in a set with Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral Shimmer ribbon. This time, however, we used the Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon. The whole thing is matted on a piece of Pool Party and Basic Gray cardstock and just like that, you have a classy, masculine, birthday card.

More cards

Considering I was no where near finshed playing with this paper, I went on to make a couple more cards with the Springtime Foils paper.

For this card I fussy cut several of the leafy branches to spread them around the card. Following the rule of three, the Springtime Foils leaves guide your eyes around the card. The extra layers of silver paper underneath the circle with the sentiment, give it a nice place to rest. By using the splatter stamp from the Eclectic Expressions set, I gave the background a bit more interest. Finally I just added a bit of bling from my stash to finish the card. This too is a reasonably simple card, however the fussy cutting took up too much time, to be suitable for a quick workshop.

I also wanted to play with my ink blending tools again to make the dotted background more festive. I used Calypso Coral, Pumkin Pie and Melon Mambo. The colours lost quite a bit of their intensity which made them match perfectly on a Peekabo Peech card base. On some Whisper White cardstock I stamped several party sqeakers in Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, Berry Burst, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry. The sentiment was initially stamped in Melon Mambo, but even after stamping it a second time it was not quite legable enough. I stamped it a third time in Berry Burst and now I was happy with it. I stuck the sqeakers down with some Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue and attached the pannel to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

What wonderful paper! You can do so much with it. If you still want to get some, then today is your absolute last chance to place a €60 order and qualify for chosing the Springtime Foils paper as a free Sale-a-bration gift. Beware that you will have to pay some delivery costs. All the information regarding those costs can be found on my ‘Ordering’ page.
