Hello Peeps,

Have you taken a good look at the Picture Perfect suite in the Spring Summer catalogue? You can find it on pages 4 and 5. The first thing that spoke to me were the cheerful colours. The stamp set was one of the first things I ordered from this brochure, as well as the Picture Perfect Party Classic Stampin’ Spots. Wow! The name is bigger than the product itself! They are a set of mini ink pads with the same ink in them as the large pads. The colours coordinate beautifully with this suite: Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst, Peekaboo Peach and Pool Party. The handy thing about these tiny cubes is that you can easily take them with you on the go and that you can use them precisely. So that when you use a stamping tool like the Stamperatus or MISTI, you don’t end up with ink all over the door of your tool.

Paper with photo’s ?

The only thing about this suite that I didn’t immediately love, was the papaer. I wasn’t at all crazy about the photo’s on the one side of the paper. Luckily the back side is beautiful designed print paper…
Boy, was I wrong!
The more I looked at examples on Pinterest, the more I appreciated the fun photo-side of the paper. When I decided to order it and play with the paper, I was transformed. This paper is so much fun! And it’s so versatile. The pictures are so pretty that you just need to add a sentiment and you’ve already got a nice card. But that’s not all. You can cut out the different parts for even more combination possibilities. Now you can layer the different elements and because there are 4 sheets of each of the designs in the pack, you never have to worry about running out. Of course the ‘simple’prints on the back sides of the papers are gorgeous too and once I’m done playing with the photo-side of the papers I will still have plenty of opportunities to use the rest of the paper. Below you can see the three cards I made using this fun paper.

Treat yourself

The first card features donuts. It’s making me peckish just looking at this paper. The Berry Burst layer behind the donut paper is the reverse side of the paper with the large confetti photo. Both layers are attached to a Peekaboo Peach cardstock card base. I used Bermuda Bay ink to stamp the very appropriate Treat yourself sentiment. I used my MISTI just to be sure. Now I could be certain about the placement of the stamp and if I needed to stamp it a second time, I would get exact placement in the exact same place. As I finishing touch I stuck down some of the Tutti-frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the sentiment. The sequin colours match the rest of the Picture Perfect Party suite beautifully. There are 50 sequins each in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and yellow. A total of 250 adhesive sequins for just € 8,50.

Happiest of Birthdays

For this card I used a sketch. I used the balloon paper as the main feature. At the bottom of the card is another little accent grouping with a stamped gift bow. It is stamped in Pool Party and Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White cardstock. Next I fussy cut it and attached it using Stampin’ Dimensionals on top of the three little strips of paper in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and the reverse side of the balloonpaper, which ground it The sentiment happiest of birthdays to you in Bermuda Bay ink finish the card.

Celebrate you

The observant viewers amongst you probably noticed it straight away. I didn’t. I didn’t notice until I was taking this picture. I stuck the paper upside down on my card!! You can tell by the pink streamers but seeing as it’s only noticeabel there I decided to just leave it and hope that the recipiant isn’t as observant. Anyhow, learn from my mistakes. These gorgeous photographed prints definately have a distinct direction.
I chose to keep this card simple. I stuck the paper to the Peekaboo Peach cardstock card base and cut some Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White cardstock in to banner shapes. I ended up chopping of one of the points of the banners from the coloured pieces. I stamped the sentiment Today we celebrate wonderful, briljant fabulous you! on to the Whisper White banner in Peekaboo Peach ink. I finished the composition by placing the flags and attaching everything with Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue.

Hopefully I have given you some inspiration and have made you excited about trying these papers yourself.
