Hello Peeps,

As far as telling you about all of my adventures, I’m a bit behind. For instance on Wednesday January 17th I hosted my very first own Stampin’ Up evening. I had invited several friends (yes, mum, you’re a friend too) to introduce them to the products I now stand for. A few already knew about Stampin’ Up but for others a whole new world opened up to them. That morning my two dear sweet friends surprised me with two beautiful signs they had commissioned especially for the launch of Prulleke. One for the entrance and another to have stand on the table. The latter also had clips on the back for me to hang my examples of off. To say it was a surpise is an understatement. I was completely overwhelmed by their loving support and I was extra proud when they told me the signs were made by another team member of mine.

To ensure everything looked up to par, I decorated my kitchen and placed various products with examples on the kitchen counters. This way there would me more to see than just the project we were making that night. Besides, it’s fun to be able to give a complete overview of what there is to offer.

Seeing as the preperations took a lot of time, I decided to make it easy on myself for the Make & Take portion of the evening. I ordered the Lots of Happy card kit (Spring/Summer catalogue 2018, p. 15) and made the sample cards. Each of my guests could now choose 2 packages and make the cards following the example.

This was my first experience with a card kit and I loved it. There is so much packed into this kit. All of the paper, cards and envelopes of course, but also the stamps, a stamping block, a Stampin’ Spot (a mini ink cube), the watercolor pencils, ribbon and several die-cuts from foiled paper, vellum and printed paper. It even came with a sheet of Stampin’ Dimensionals (very strong foam squares… well hexagons) in it! There is enough in the kit to make 5 different cards 4 times. Super fun. And if you still haven’t had enough of it then, you van buy a refill kit for just €25,- which will give you enough cards, envelopes, paper, die-cuts and ribbon in there to make another 20 cards. It is, without a doubt, a fantastic way to try out Stampin’  Up products, especially if you are a beginner. The cards themselves look super cute as well. Of course you don’t need to use the sentiments as shown in the examples, so you can use the kit however you please.

The ladies had a great time and were very happy with their self made cards. I even managed to sell some small paper packs and received two orders. So this was a succesful evening for me too which is motivating me to have another soon. Should you be interested to host your own workshop or Make & Take, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me. I look forward to enjoying many more of such fun evenings.

See you next time,

Leonie
