Ik wilde in juli een vrolijk en kleurrijk kaartje maken dat ik eenvoudig in verschillende kleuren kom maken. Ik gebruikte de nieuw Simply Fabulous stempelset. Dit is echt een geweldige beginners set omdat je de bloemen op ontzettend veel manieren kunt combineren en je meteen alle meest gebruikte spreuken in deze ene set hebt. Ik koos voor een frisse kleurencombinatie van Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Shaded Spruce en Granny Apple Green. Ik stempelde eerst mijn spreuk om te bepalen waar deze zou komen. Vervolgens heb ik er direct overheen mijn bloemen en takken gestempeld. Dat werd natuurlijk een zooitje, maar met een goed doel. Ik stempelde de spreuk opnieuw, sneed deze uit en kon zo de rommel bedekken waardoor er een mooie kaart ontstaat met perfect geplaatste bloemen en bladeren. Om de kleuren nog een keer te accentueren matte ik het gestempelde paneel op een stukje Hues of Happiness DSP. Mocht je het nou moeilijk vinden om dit papier aan te snijden, koop dan een tweede pak. Het is namelijk zonde om het niet te gebruiken! Alle laagjes plakte ik op een vierkante basiskaart van Crushed Curry kaartkarton. Op die manier zijn alle lagen met elkaar door kleur verbonden.

For my July cards I wanted to create a cheerful and colourful card that could easily be replicated in a multitude of colours. I used the new Simply Fabulous stamp set. This set is amazing for beginners as there are so mny ways to combine the flowers. You also have the most used sentiments all combined in this one set. I chose to use a fresh colourcombination of Crushed Curry, Fresh Freesia, Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green. I stamped my sentiment down first in order to determain the placement of everything else. Next I stamped the different flowers and branches directly on top of the sentiment. Obviously this now looked like a hot mess, but all with a good cause in mind. I stamped the sentiment again on a second piece of paper, cut it out and was abele to cover up the stamped mess. This resulted in a wonderfully legible sentiment with perfectly placed flowers and leaves sticking out from beneath. To accentuate the colours I matted the stamped piece on some Hues of Happiness DSP. If you find it difficult to cut this paper, I suggest buying a second pack. It is such a shame to not use this gorgeous paper! I attached all the layers to a square cardbase made from Crushed Curry cardstock. I connected all the layers by using the same colour.

Dan zie je hoeveel bereik je eigenlijk hebt met zo’n hop.
