Hello Peeps,

Although the holiday is over now, I’m not completely back in my normal rythm, Last week, the children were home for a few extra days again. Of course that is really nice, but it leaves me little time for crafting. Luckily my daughter also enjoys crafting which means we were able to play with some paper, stamps and dies when the boys are napping. Aside from that, it’s all about stolen moments when the children are occupied. Which is how I was able to make the following 3 cards, as the kids were playing at 1-2-3 Speelparadijs (play paradise)

Hugs & Kisses

Using my MISTI I repeatedly stampped the phrase Sending You. First in Peekaboo Peach, next in Lemon Lime Twist, followed by Powder Pink. I used the gridpaper in the MISTI and moved the card. This would Ensure the stamping was straight each time. When I was satisfied with the saturation of the background, I used Blackberry Bliss to stamp the main sentiment: HUGS & kisses. A quick and easy card. Using the same colours as the background, I stamped a few of the images from the set on the envelope. Now everything matched beautifully.

For a Great Friend

My friend, with whom we went to the play Paradise, was watching me stamp and stated that she could never do that. Nonsense! I told her it was easy to design a card with the right stamp set. Look. You start with the largest image in the lightest ink colour, which happened to be Powder Pink for me, and stamp it in 3 places on your card. Next you take the second largest stamp and the second lightest ink, Lemon Lime Twist, and stamp it close to the first impressions. Then you grap a tiny stamp and a dark colour, like Rich Razzleberry, to complete the background. Now all that is left to do is to add a sentiment in Calypso Coral and Bob’s your uncle. This little demonstration probably took about the same amount to carry out as it did to read this. It is a simple recipe which almost Always works. At home I added a few sequins to complete the card. It was a combination of the adhesive backed sequins from the Spring/Summer 2018 catalogye and some sequins from my stash. Of course I also stamped a few images on the envelope to finish everything off.

Lovely

For my final card I only used the sentiment from the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set which I combined with the images from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set. I used a different coloured ink for each image and worked from large to small imagels. This way I could continue to fill the gaps. In order to keep the word Lovely from disappearing in the background I decided to stamp it onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and fussycut it. At home I decided to give it even more pop by adding a gold doily behind the sentiment. The doily is adhered to the card flat, with some Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue and the sentiment is stuck down using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To the inside of the card I added the words Inside & Out and to the envelope I added some more of the Paisley shapes.

And just like that, using just a few ink colours and 2 stamp sets, you have 3 totally different but beautiful cards. Which card is your favorite? I look forward to reading about it in the section below.

If you are interested in purchasing the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set, then don’t delay placing an order because this is one of the sets leaving the collection. It is only available until May 31 2018, while supplies last.

See you next time,
