Hello Peeps,
This time my blogpost is a collaboration with my friend and Demonstrator colleague, Jolanda Stokvis. We decided to each make a card using the same sketch. The sketch is from Match the Sketch, a blog that unfortunately is no longer active. Jolanda choose number 168 for us to use.
My interpretation of it, is very close to the original sketch. I only replaced the horizontal line with the embellishment with a larger element.
I drew the colours from the Best Route Designer Series Paper. I think the paper is stunning and the colour combination (Blueberry Bushel, Gray Granite, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch and Whisper White) really speaks to me. However, I don’t make many travel themed cards, so I’ve hardly touched it. Why I haven’t thought to combine the paper with the Bike Ride stamps and Build a Bike framelits, is beyond me. It is a perfect match! To create some interest in the background, I ran the plain piece of coloured cardstock through the Big Shot with my Sparkle embossing folder.
The end result is a bright yet clean and simple card.
